![]() Booking both meals is only possible via, it seems. The onsen even has a whirlpool with bubbles and a small waterfall shower. My Japanese-style room was large and came with a toilet and shower. Everything at this ryokan was quality and not cheap stuff: the Kleenex tissues, toilet paper, liquid soap in the onsen. Across the street is a Kanko Hotel with rates probably 30% higher than this place with no dinner included. You would be a fool to stay here and not partake of the superb meals for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was also delicious with thick slices of sweet egg omelet in addition to broiled fish and other assorted side dishes. Two plates of various, colorful side dishes also complimented the meal. Two Tokushima dishes were included which was a thick somen noodle and a bowl of rice porridge. Three different types of sashimi were served which were huge, thick slices befitting a $300/night ryokan. Dinner was quite amazing: large chucks of expertly cooked tempura vegetables. It looks sorta high-class from the outside considering I paid minshuku prices for an overnight stay with both meals. This place is right across the street from Tokushima Station and looks to be a refurbished ryokan.
